LPBC Elections on July 11

The annual meeting of the LPBC will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2002 at 7:30 pm at Bo Shaffer's house. At this annual meeting, we will be holding the election of LPBC officers for 2002-2003, as well as conducting regular board business.

Who can vote?

All members who are Voting Members can vote, either in person at the July 11 meeting, or with the Absentee/Sample ballot. This ballot was sent to all members along with their July newsletter, several weeks prior to the election. The ballot is also available online.

To run for office

All Voting Members are eligible and encouraged to run for any one of the nine LPBC board positions:
  1. Chairman
  2. Secretary
  3. Treasurer
  4. Newsletter Editor
  5. Membership Director
  6. Campaigns Director
  7. Fund-Raising Director
  8. Publicity Director
  9. Outreach Director
You can announce your intention to run at any time up to the election by notifying the Membership Director. If you do this on or before 06/13/02 then you will be included on the printed ballot (mailed out with the July newsletter). After that date you can still run for office in person at the July 11 meeting, but you might not be included in the printed ballot in the July newsletter (we will still try to include you on the online version of the ballot).
