that government now needs a federal program, bureau, agency, or grant contract

- Fascinating report:
Nuclear Energy in the World Today by Dr. Jay Lehr. Excerpt: "The truth
about nuclear power is that it provides a viable and safe means for satisfying
the worlds growing need for electricity. In the U.S., growing concern over
energy shortages can be expected to spark a renewed interest in nuclear
power--provided its supporters can address the continuing assault by a radical
environmental lobby that is not only anti-nuclear power but also
anti-development." (12/29/03)

- Must-read speech by Ron Paul
Sorry, Mr. Franklin, "We're All Democrats Now"
It is obvious that the Republic is gone, for we are wallowing in a pure
democracy against which the Founders had strongly warned.
Nothing short
of restoring a republican form of government with strict adherence to the rule
of law, and curtailing illegal government programs, will solve our current and
evolving problems.
The Liberty Amendment referred to in
the speech, was proposed by Mr. Paul to abolish the 16th Amendment!

- A day to remember: Excellent Bill of Rights Day article by
Harry Browne: "Contrary to all the blather we hear about the unique goodness of
the American people or our religious heritage or anything else, the one thing
that set this country apart from all others was the Bill of Rights. This was
the first country in history to have a national government that was truly
limited." See the full
article. (12/18/02)
- "Saddam Hussein and his army won't be the only ones who suffer
from a U.S. invasion. The financial costs of this war could cripple
an already struggling American economy, and the human costs of any war
are incalculable. So why are politicians blithely ignoring these domestic
casualties?" Read the full

Bush blasts corporate fraud, but what about government fraud? President
Bush's speech in Washington, DC, today on "corrupt corporate accounting"
overlooked a far more serious problem, Libertarians say: corrupt government
accounting. "When it comes to cooking the books, Uncle Sam is a master chef."

America, meet your leaders by Harry Browne. "Until George Bush lays out
specific, credible, verifiable, understandable evidence that Saddam Hussein
poses an immediate threat to the security of the United States of America (not
just to the "interests" of the U.S., as defined by power-hungry politicians), I
prefer to keep my self-respect and oppose any thought of going to war."

- The Republican Sickness
by Harry Browne. "Do you ever wonder why conservative Republican journalists and
commentators support a man like George W. Bush someone whose proposals
for foreign aid, health care, education, farm subsidies, and constitutional
violations contradict everything the conservatives claim to stand for?"
